Happy Birthday Casey,I hope somehow you know about the letter Audra wrote in honor of you and what you stood for in life. Your family continues to honor your memory and to live their lives knowing how precious and short our time here is. Audra's letter continues to focus all on who you were/are and will always be to us. Our beautiful and honorable Casey. Thank you for what you gave to your family and to the world. Auntie and Unclie
Happy Birthday Case...
I miss you today and everyday! Even though you are not with us on Earth, we will celebrate your life, the person that you were and the amazing impact you had on each one of our lives. You truly were an incredible friend, sister, daughter. What a blessing your friendship was to me and there isn't a day that doesnt go by that I don't think of you. There may be tears because we miss you but there are smiles because we knew you and because we know one day we will be reunited with you and Kyle in heaven in our Father's arms.
Hi, my name is Spencer and I just finished my sophomore year at Monrovia High School. I have had the amazing privilege to be a part of Casey’s Pledge. Though our amazing ASB advisor, and a true friend of mine, Ms. Allyson Tucker is no longer at our school, I can rest assured that the Pledge will continue on. Because we are so far outside of the Central Valley we would normally not be able to get Casey’s car to come to our school, but because of Ms. Tucker’s ties to Casey we were able to have the trailer come to our school. It truly saddens me that this was the last year that we are able to have Casey’s car come to our school, and I hope that we don’t lose the spirit of Casey’s Pledge with it. We have also been honored to have Lynne Goodwin, Casey’s mother, come to our school and talk, but unfortunately she was not able to come and speak at our Every 15 Minutes assembly this year. This next upcoming two years of high school I will have the true honor and privilege of planning Casey’s Pledge and Every 15 Minutes and I hope that I can keep the spirit of Casey alive at my school which so desperately needs something like this. Casey’s story is a reminder to me of the true fragility of life she was a true inspiration and a true role model.
iam sorry for case i always see her car she crash in at the the big fresno fair she will be dearly missed.
What an awesome weekend in Exeter, honoring you two at the Annual Kyle and Casey Memorial Water Polo Tournament. This year the tournament hosted 16 teams over the two days, with so many players, coaches, siblings, and parents getting to know you two. Many committed and took Casey's Pledge, such an important step in their life. Casey and Kyle, your family, friends, and community clearly love you two and miss you. It was a privilege to work as an official this year, and I look forward to participating next year.
I do not know the Goodwin's personally, but I'd like to let you know how truly sympathetic I am toward you all. I first learned about Casey and Kyle my freshman year, when Mrs. Goodwin came to my drivers ed class. I couldn't help but tear up just listening to their stories. I got to see her car for the first time today, as well as another presesntation. I must say, Casey is an inspiration to us all. All that she did to encourage others to make safe decisions, and to spread the word about drinking and driving, truly makes her wonderful. My deepest condolences go out to the Goodwin Family...God Blessed you all to be incredibly loving and strong. Rest in Peace Casey and Kyle.
